CANADIAN WHEAT GROWING.

DEVELOPMENT OF ALBERTA

The Natural Resources Intelligence Department, Canada, reports that a million acres of new land are under the plough in Alberta. During the past summer season in central and northern Alberta, 410,500 acres of land were broken up. At 20 bushels per acre of wheat, this will increase Alberta's output of that grain by 8,210,000 bushels. Altogether about one million acres will be under plough this year in that district. During the year 1470 new settlers were received.
