DEPARTS WHEN GIVEX WHISKY.
Should a cow happen to get stuck in your confectionery shop don't lose your head Simply give her a stiff drink 01 whisky, and she will leave immediatelv. This, at least, is the advice of a shopkeeper of Crompton, Lancashire, into whose establishment a cow straved the other dav.
When efforts were made to drive her out the cow stuck in the doorway. The proprietor, after all other expedients had failed, brought out the whisky bottle and poured four fingers for the cow. The animal smacked her lips and with a mighty heave freed herself.
