VAGRANT BACK TO GAOL.

INDIAN FINED FOR THEFT

Three months' imprisonment was imposed on James Gregg Cummings. aged 76, by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person.

Senior Sergeant Cummings stated that accused had been sleeping out at nights, and was in a very dirty condition. He had a long list, and had been helped by the Salvation -Army from time to time.

For being disorderly while drunk yesterday on Prince's wharf, James Gordon, aged 34, was fined £1.

An Indian, Lala Parchotam, aped 26, was fined £2, or in default 14 days, on a charge of stealing yesterday at the Takapuna racecourse a purse and contents of a total value of 16/10, the property of Doreen Yoltz.
