SCHOOL PRINCIPAL KETIRIXG. . (By TAfttflL-PRS Aaodtta.) ! CHRIST CHURCH, this day. After having been 30 yean in the service of the Canterbury College Board, Hiss 1L V. Gibson, principal of the Girls' High School, mil retire in Ma; of next year. It was decided at yesterday's meeting of the Canterbury College Board of Governors to accept her resignation, and a committee was set up to consider the question of recognition of her service in the cause of education. ( Miss Gibson hss had thousands of girls under her control in the 30 years in which she has been principal of the Girls' High School, and she has seen it grow from a small institution to one of the largest girls' secondary schools in the Dominion.
