(Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 22. Imperial Airways, Ltd., has issued a report of its operations, which for the first time shows a profit.

The surplus amounts to £11,401, as compared with a loss of £20,414 on the previous year's undertaking.

The traflic on the regular European services increased -26 per cent and the revenue therefrom 39 per cent.

The company to date has carried 52,000 passengers 2,500,000 miles without injury to a single passenger.

The fleet consiata «>f twenty machines, of which nine *re classed as of most modern design. The improved finances are attributed to a reduction iu the operating costs.

AVIATORS' MISTAKE.

IN POLAND, NOT RUSSIA

(Received 10 a.m.) WARSAW, November 22. It is stated that Captain Mcintosh and Mr. Bert Hinkler, when they landed near Lemberg in their attempted long distance non-stop record from England to India, thought they had landed in Russia. Therefore they described themselves as Dutchmen. This accounts for the absence of direct news.

The flyers were much relieved to find themselves on the Polish side of the frontier.

MAY RESUME INDIA FLIGHT

RECEPTION PLANNED. (Received 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 22. It is reported by the Warsaw correspondent of the "Central News," ,that President Misciski has arranged an official reception to Captain Mcintosh and Mr. Bert Hinkler, the British aviators who are discussing a plan to continue their non-stop flight from Warsaw to India.
