CHRISTCHURCH, this day.

Mrs. Fanny Shepherd, aged 51, a widow, was killed at Southbrook yesterday afternoon. She was being driven by her son, .aged 19, along the main road, and' when he attempted to avoid a collision with a cyclist, the car overturned in a patch of shingle.

Mr. Shepherd escaped with bruises but his mother was pinned underneath the car. j
