LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
AREA IN TAURANGA COUNTY

TAURAXGA, Saturday,
The Minister of Lands was recently requested to allow certain Crown lands in the Te Puna riding to be opened for settlement under the provisions of the Land Act dealing with the settlement of inferior lands. The Minister now states that the Commissioner of Crown Lands recently inspected the lands referred to, and it is the intention of the commissioner to visit the land again shortly with the field inspector with a view to thoroushly investigating the possibility of opening the lands for selection in suitable holdings.
