CONTROL OF CRICKET.
DELEGATES' CONFERENCE. REVERSION TO SIX-BALL OVER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The first annual conference of delegates representing cricket associations was held to-night. The conference decided to revert to the six-ball over. Permission was granted the major associations to play one professional in Plunket Shield matches, and minor associations to play one professional in Hawke Cup matches. It was decided to ask Lord Hawke to agree that the Hawke Cup in future he confined to competition in the North Island, and the chairman, Mr. G. Heathcote Williams, undertook to donate a shield or a cup for competition in the South Island. It was resolved that the selectors of New Zealand teams should be four in number, one from each of the major associations.
