A public demonstration in favour of the Licensing Bill will be held in the Town Hall, on Sunday afternoon. Hon. George Fowlds will occupy the chair, and Messrs. W. R. Tuck, Robt. Laidlaw, and Arthur Sexton will be the speakers. The meeting is being held under the auspices of the Auckland area of the New Zealand Alliance. "Small profits and quick returns," is a reason for Smith and Caughey's rapidly expanding business.— (Ad )
