The Irish Free State Government was defeated in the Dail by 6C votes to (54, on a motion, which was moved by Capt a i n Redmond, | leader of the National League party. Ho proposed the setting-up of a Commission of inquiry into the circumstances of the ex-service men in the Free State. The President,
Mr. Cosgrave, said
he would accept a motion of no-confidence with respect to the division, and would give time for its discussion to-day or on Friday. The defeat of the Cosgrave partv is not likely to result in a crisis. Captain Redmond declines to regard the motion as a party one, or to table a no-confi-dence motion.
Mr. Cosgrave in the Dail Eireann stated that the Government could consider the motion in a few da^a.
