NAVAL DESERTERS.
TWO MEN LEAVE RENOWN
Two men who deserted H.M.s. Renown while that vessel was at Wellington in March last, are at present in custody. Frederick Radford (.">5) appeared a day or so ago. charged with stealing £1 7/6 from a room-mate, while the other man. Bernard Plnckett (281 was charged ;<t the Police Court this morning with deserting from the battle-cruiser.
A naval officer, representing the C<>mmodorp of the New Zealand Squadron, nsked the magistrate to make an order for both men to be kept in custody pending wireless ail vice from the Admiralty. This would come to hand within a few da v«.
Mr. McKean further remanded both men in custody.
