MOUNT LYELL. j Information received locally is to ,the effect that the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Company has earned a profit for the year "ending September 30, of £ 173,298. This compares with £220,487 last year, and £237,125 the year before. The -directors recommend an increase of authorised capital to £2,500,000. At present the nominal capital is £1.300,000 in £1 shares. ' KAURI TIMBER CO. The secretary- of the Kauri Timber Co. has received advice from head office that the directors have resolved to recommend that a dividend at the rate of 6 per cent per annum be paid for the half-year ending August 31. INCREASE OF CAPITAL. The following appeared in the latest issue of the "Mercantile Gazette":— NEW RIVEB GOLD DREDGING CO., Ltd Capital Increased to £70,000 by creation of 20.000 .new shares:of «.I each. _jj HOKIANGA CO-OP.
