HUNDRED YEARS OLD.

MRS. REECE CONGRATULATED ONE VISITOR AGED 94. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, Thursday. Mrs. Martha Reece was 100 years old to-day. On Monday the Rev. J. E. Draper, yicar of Opotiki, called at the house, and in the presence of Mrs. Reece and her sons and daughters, conducted a Communion service. To-day there was a stream of visitors to the house. The Mayor, the town clerk, the chairman of the Power Board, and the chairman of the County Council congratulated Mrs. Reece, who received them all. Then came Dr. Reid, who is over 94 years of age, but enjoys splendid health. Mrs. Rostgard presented Mrs. Reece with an Early Victorian posy of the most familiar flowers. Mrs. Reese has been living with a daughter, Mrs. H. J. Webb, for the last eighteen years. Other daughters are: Mrs. R. Smith, of Onehunga, and Mrs. J. Butler, of Opotiki. The sons are Messrs. E. and W. Reece, of Opotiki.
