PROPER RECORD NOT KEPT.
WIRELESS DEALERS FINED. (By Tslegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Fear and Co. and Harringtons, Ltd. were prosecuted to-day for failing to keep a proper record of their sales of wireless equipment. The irksomeness of the law's requirements were discussed, and the magistrate remarked that the ultimate object was to secure the protection of revenue. He imposed fines of £3. Five people who had erected sets without a license were fined £2 and costs. The two firms are the first to be prosecuted in New Zealand for the offence named.
