BILLIARD SALOON GUTTED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.). LEVIN, this day. Fire broke out at 3.30 this morning in a billiard saloon in Oxford Street. The building was gutted, but the fire brigade prevented the flames spreading t the surrounding wooden buildings. The insurances on the building, which is owned by the Hannan Estate, is £300, and on three tables and fittings, owned by Mr. W. Hume, £500. HOUSE AT COROMANDEL LOST. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) COROMANDEL, this day. A five-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. P. Jenkins was burnt to the ground last night. The property was situated west of the old Kaponga mine and north of the Coromandel-Kikowha-karare Road. It was valued at £500, and the furniture at £160.
