TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE,
Taupiri Coal shares sold at 26/ to-day, which is about the top figure for that stock. Sales were also made this morning of Hikurangi Coal A preference shares at 5/4. A call of one shilling was made by the directors of the Renown Collieries today, making the contributing issue now 16/ paid-up. Buyers offered 8/3, but sellers asked 19/6.
Colonial Sugar shares sold at £53 12/6 at the call yesterday afternoon, and to-day sellers wanted £54. Buyers offer £98 for Auckland Power Board debentures, but sellers want another 20/. A buyer came in this morning for Auckland Gas 5 per cent debentures at £92, but sellers ask £95. The 6% per cent debentures are still wanted at £99.
N.Z. Bank shares had sales to-day at £2 18/, and buyers came in for National Bank of New Zealand at £6 18/. HuddartParker Steam changed hands at £2 6/9 N.Z. and River Plate at £1 7/4, and Amusement Park at 17/3. Ohinemuri Mines shares were offered at 7/6 at the noon call, but the buying quote was 7/3. Occidental-Una contributing issue sold at 1/3, and buyers of Moanataiari offered 2/2.
