AUCKLAND TABLE TENNIS.

The last tournament of the season will be held at the Y.M.C.A. on Monday evening, October 17, commencing at 7 p.m. The tournament will be run along the same lines as the previous one. The progressive handicap tournament held in September has so far been the best tournament of the year. Mr. F. R. Paton, the holder of the championship title, again won the men's section from minus 12; he had some very close calls, but always managed to get home, in the ladies' section, Miss J. Clarkson, a young player, won the ladies' singles. The committee have taken into account Mr. Paton's previous wins, and it will be interesting to note, with the added handicap which he will undoubtedly get, whether he will again win.
