A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

IN NEW HOME. SEVERAL TROPHIES DONATED FOR THE AUCKLAND SHOW. After having been located in the Hall of Commerce Buildings in High Street for a number of years, the home of the Auckland A. and P. Association has been removed to the second floor in Dalgety's new buildings, Albert Street. The premises consist of a public office, a secretary's room and a large meeting room, part of which has been made into a reference library and reading room for members of the association. The whole system of the A. and P. organisation has been revised and brought up to date, with the result that the chief executive, as well as members, look forward to a new lease of life in the affairs of that active body. Public support has been forthcoming in several directions and the new secretary (Mr. O'Donnell) antici-, pates that by the time this year's annual show comes round the various cups, shields and other trophies will have increased in value by at least £300.

In the past it has been demonstrated beyond doubt that New Zealand's prime lamb holds its own with any on the Home markets. It has been the custom to have a pen of lambs at these shows suitable for export purposes. Certain points are awarded here for prizes donated by the association, the final judging taking place in London subsequent to the carcases having arrived in cool store. Up to the present there have been no trophies donated for tins part of the competitions, and now Messrs. W. and R. Fletcher have given a 25sruinea perpetual challenge cup for the purpose. Three other handsome trophies have also been donated to the association for competition amongst the dairy classes—two by the Manufacturers' Association for the best Jersey and the beet Friesian heifers from C.6.R. dams, and the Auckland Em plovers' Association has also donated a of equal value to that of the Manufacturers' Association for the best Shorthorn heifer from a C.O.R. dam.
