THOBNHAK GETS A MONTH. STOLE FROM DRINKING FRIEND. George Thornham (28) frankly admitted to Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court this morning that he was drunk in Hobson Street yesterday, and further that he stole 7/0 belonging to Charles Purdy. *

Senior Sergeant McCarthy said that Thornhairi and Purdy had been drinkinp together in a hotel yesterday. Accused took the money from Purdy. Thornham had a long list of previous convictions. "Why, he's only out after doing three months' imprisonment for theft," eaid the magistrate. "Now, he will get one month's imprisonment for stealing the money."
