SOME TIME THIS YEAR.
LICENSING BILL. WHEN WIIX IT ARRIVE? PREMIER PARRIES A QUESTION. (By Telegraph. — Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Friday. "When may we expect the Licensing Bill to be introduced in this House?" asked Mr. H. G. R. Mason of the Prime Minister this afternoon. Mr. Coates: I can at this stage neither give the day nor the hour, but I can assure the hon. member— Mr. Howard: Nor the year? The Prime Minister: Yes, 1927. Mr. Howard: Well, that's comforting. The Prime Minister: That has not been a secret impossible to discover for a long time. I can assure you that the bill will be introduced this year—this session—and the Government will give iue notice in the ordinary way, when the hon. member's anxiety and inquisitiveness can be set at rest for the rest of the session. (Laughter.)
