The report presented by the honorary secretary of the work done since the" beginning rvf the year showed that firstaid classes and home nursing classes had been held nt the ambulance station, Auckland and Kpsom Girls' Grammar Schools, St. luthbert'e College, St. Uttfe Hiph School, and at Epsom, Onchunpa, Otnlmlm, Westfleld, Chelsea, Silverdalc Huntly, Hamilton, Whangarei end Gisburne. The number who had attended claw* was 7fi4. most of whom had passed the examinations. First-aid lectures were also given to the employees of the Railway Department at Auckland. Xewmarket, Frnnkton, Tc Aroha and Taumnniniii. The number attending thece lf-ctures was 282, bringing the total up to 1027. Out of the ]ofi pupils of the Auckland Girls' Grammar School who had attended firltaid lectures not one failed in the examination. Of the. number 88 gained the 80 per rent of the maximum nuarks necessary for n first-class pars. Of the 25 who attended the home ntireing lectures all were successful at the examination, 24 passing in the first class. Campbell) had consented to act as orpaniser of the annual street collection, which is to be held on Friday, November 4. The secretary wan requested to write io the Mayoress thanking her for her kindness and to the mayors of adjacent bcroujfhs asking permission to hold collections on that day.
