FARMERS' AUCTIONEERING CO.

NO DIVIDEND ON ORDINARY SHARES. The annual report of the Farmers' Auctioneering Co. recommends that no dividend be paid on ordinary share capital. The profit and loss account, after providing for bad and doubtful debts and depreciation on properties and plant, shows a net profit for the year of £18,294, to which must be added the balance brought forward trom last year, £2276, making • total of £20,570. From this the following dividend* have been paid on preference shares:— For the half-year ended January 31, £7598; for the half-year ended July 31, fT59e ; leaving £5578 ont of which it is proposed to pay income tax for the year. The balance will be carried forward.
