SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE.
MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR RACE. The annual steeplechase of Mount Albert Grammar School was run from the school yesterday, when there was a field of more than 250 starters for the journey of nearly three miles. Despite the fact that a merry pace was set, and the winner, J. Green, finished within 5s of the school record, there was a surprising number of finishers, including many small boys. The handicap results were:— Senior Handicap.—G. C. Holdsworth, 1; H. E. Addis, 2; G. S. Horefall, 3. Junior Handicap.—G. C. Holdswortb, 1; H. E. Addis, 2; T. W. Wallle. 3.
