MR. TAYLOR UNDER FIRE.
BIG STRIKE RECALLED. (By Telegrapb.—Own Correspondent.) HUNTLY, Friday. Mr. W. J. Taylor, the independent Reform candidate, had. a large audience in the Town Hall last night, but it was by no means sympathetic. Mr. W. C. E. George, chairman of the Town Board, presided. Mr. Taylor was sharply questioned about his work as a constable in Huntly during the 1913 strike. He said he was employed by the Government and did his duty as he was told to do it. If he had not done so he would have been dismissed. During the whole of the time he was in the police force he never carried any weapon except when ordered to do so. :
