WRONGFULLY DISMISSED.

SALESMAN WINS ACTION. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The case in which W. Hopper, of Auckland, salesman, claimed £171 damages from W. A. Arnold, Limited, tyre merchants, Wellington, for wrongful dismissal, was concluded before Mr. Justice Ostler in the Supreme Court to-day. His Honor said he was satisfied that the contract was wrongfully determined. The defendant had utterly failed to prove incompetence, as had been alleged. The only other question was as to the amount of damages, and on this he proposed to reserve his decision. He thought also the counter-claim made by the company for £49 would have to fail.
