Mr. George Booth, of Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. He is at the Albert Hotel. Dr. Kenrick H. Dean has been appointed medical officer at the Warkworth Hospital. Dr. Bruton Sweet has been granted three months' leave of absence by the Auckland Hospital Board. Dr. W. Gilmour, pathologist at the Auckland Hospital, has been granted nine months' leave of absence to proceed overseas. Messrs. E. McKenzie (Wairarapa), N. McKenzie (Hawke's Bay), and A. Guy (Taranaki), the North Island All Black selectors, will arrive in Auckland to watch the trial match at Eden Park on Saturday. Mr. A. B. Galbraith, who has been in the employ of the Auckland Hospital Board at the dental hospital, has resigned, and the position has been filled by the appointment of Miss Zilla Simmers. The Hon. A. D. McLeod, Minister of Lands, left Pukekohe this morning, and went on to Ngaruawahia by the Thames express. He will leave Frankton by the Limited express on Sunday night for Wellington. Dr. E. H. Bridgeman has resigned from the Auckland Hospital Board's staff in order to proceed Home for further study. At yesterday's meeting of the board th© chairman (Mr. W.. Wallace) and members spoke in eulogistic terms of Dr. Bridgeman, and wished him every success. Among those at the Central Hotel are Mr. and Mrs. Alan Gray (Dunedin), Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Emeny (New Plymouth), Mr. S. C. Charlton, Mr. L. H. Charlton (Taupo), Mr. A. P. Levenstoun (New Plymouth), Mr. G. Forbes (Tauranga), Mr. W. Pine (Hawera), and Mr. J. A. McVicar (Wellington).
