THAMES POLICE COURT.

THAMES, this day.

At the Police Court to-day, before Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., Frederick William Gordon, a pork butcher, was fined £1 and costs for selling bacon preserved by bono acid. Ben Hawkins, an employee of the Hsnraki Plains County, was charged with the theft of £18 4/. It was stated that he had double-paid wages to that amount. He failed to return a cheque sent by post. He pleaded guilty. The magistrate admitted him to probation for twelve months, on condition that he repays the amount he stole.
