INCIDENT AT ROTORUA.
BOAT SINKS NEAR SHORE.
NO PASSENGERS ABOARD.

ROTORUA, this day.
On Sunday a Government launcli doing the round trip was going from Wairoa to* meet passengers coming from Waimangu when it met heavy seas and was swamped. The pumps failed and the crew donned their lifebelts and set a course for the shore, which was reached as the launch foundered. There were no passengers aboard.
