TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE.

Auckland Gas pai«f issue had sales today at 23/. British Tobacco also firmed in price, sales being recorded at 57/3, which _is a good advance on last week's quotations. Union Bank of Australia shares were offered at £14 18/ to-day, but buyers did not advance beyond £14 13/. A sale was reported of Wellington Woollen preference shares at £0. South British Insurance changed hands at 57/9, and Waihi shares are now offered at 22/. Occidental Una contributing shares sold this morning at 1/5 once more. BUSINESS DONE. AT THE 10 A.M.
