QUEEN STREET COLLISION

TRUCK AND TRAMWAY POLE.

A BOY INJURED.

A collision occurred this morning in Queen Street opposite the intersection of Vulcan Lane, a light motor truck owned by Mr. J. Chevis, carrier, crashing into a centre tramway-pole. The i driver, Mr. R Tarrant, escaped injury, but his companion, a boy named Charles Corr, residing at 31, George Street, received severe cuts about the face through being thrown against the windscreen. The boy was immediately taken to a neighbouring pharmacy, where he was attended to. Except for a broken windscreen and a bent front mudguard, the truck was not damaged.
