BOY KILLED AT PLAY.

DEAD WHEN EXTRICATED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. Clifford Bere, a a schoolboy, aged 11 j'ears, was playing in a clay pit adjacent to a hrick kiln at St. Martin's to-day when a fall of clay from a bank came down upon him.
It is uncertain whether the fall killed the boy outright or whether he was suffocated. He was dead when he was extricated.
