GOOD - NIGHT STORIES.
a WHAT HAPPENED TO A SILLY LITTLE ANT. (Told by BLANCHE SILVER for •PETER PAN.") When Silly Little Ant was old enough to leave the nursery without the help of a Nurse Ant, she crawled out into the sunshine and looked around her. Everydne in the anthill was running first one way, then another. Each one seemed to have something to do as they all went about their own work. Silly Ant sat still and watched them. Hundreds of them hurried back and forth to and from the anthill's doorway. "My goodness me," sighed Silly Ant. "How stupid of me to try to be'happy among so many, many brothers and sisters!" Then a funny thing happened. Out of the anthill trooped a crowd of ants just about her own age. But each of them had pretty brown wings, and Silly Ant was just about ready to complain when she discovered to her surprise that she had a pair of wings, too.
