PRACTISING FALLING DEAD.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WHAKATANE, Tuesday. Tom Tunui, a young man who has been acting in the film "Tβ Kooti's Trail," was injured at his home yesterday while rehearsing. After taking part in the bush fighting scenes, Tunui took home blank cartridges and a shotgun and began rehearsing falling dead , in the backyard with a friend who was to. fire the gun. Wads from the cartridge hit Urn over the right ear, making a long cut in the side of his head. Dr. Cronin attended him, and he is progressing favourably. The film is almost completed. The producer, Mr. BudaU Hayward, leaves for the Urewera Country to-morrow to make final scenes at Te Kooti's historic meeting house. . . While workmen were rebuilding the walls of Te Porohu redoubt for use in the film, the gate chain and portion of a human skeleton were unearthed.
