SAMOAN LANDING.

THIRTEENTH ANNIVERSARY.

To celebrate the thirteenth anniversary of the landing of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces in Samoa on August 29, 1914, the annual meeting and reunion of tbe Samoan Ex-Servicemen's Association was held in Auckland on Saturday evening. Members of the Women's Ex-Service Association were also present. Major G. E. Simeon presided. Among those present was the Hon. O. F. Nelson, M.L.C. of Samoa, who is an _ honorary member of the association.

The evening was spent in song and story, and many pleasant reminiscences were brought up. A presentation was made to Mr. Cresser for his long service as secretary of the association.
