FEILD WORK IN INDIA. NEW gF.AT.AWD OFFICERS. TWO YEARS' INTERCHANGE. <By Telegraph—Special to the "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Under the Rcheme of interchange of officers between the New Zealand and Indian Armies three New Zealand Staff Corps officer* left Wellington by the Marama yesterday to undergo a period of two years' interchange with British regiment* in India. They are: Captain L. W. Andrew, V.O, late area officer at New Plymouth; Lieutenant A. W. Greville, late area officer at Blenheim, and Lieutenant A. H. L. Sugden, of Christchurch.
They are accompanied bv Captain F. J. Dillon, M.C., Royal Artillery, who, after two years' service as Adjutant, Coast Defence Artillery, Fort Dorset, is returning to his regiment in India. He will be followed next week by Captain P. L. Villar, M.O, South Wales Borderers, who also has completed his two-rear period of interchange in New Zealand a* Adjutant of the Ist Battalion, Auckland Regiment. Advice has been received that three New Zealand Staff Corps officers, who have completed their two-year period of interchange with British rejri-i ments in India, were to have left India' on Friday on their return to New Zealand. They are: Major L, Potter. Captain J. G. C. Wales, M.C., and Captain J. I. Brooke.
There are three other Xew Zealand Staff Corps officers who are at present in India, having completed one year of their period of interchange and'ha ring etill another year to serve. They mn> Captain J. A. M. Clachan. C*ptain*G. I* McCaskill and Captain D. T. Maxwell. The last-named officer was attached to one of the regiments which went to Hongkong, and has just returned to India. The three Xew Zealand officer* who left Wellington on Friday will fill fresh vacancies in the Indian Army which have been created by the interchange of officers with Xew Zealand. Two of these officers of the Indian Army are Capt. A. le G. Campbell, Highland Light Infantry (who has been acting a« area officer at Wellington and whose period of interchange lias been extended two years), and Lieutenant Dykes, Lancashire Fusiliers,
