LEAGUE IN HAWKE'S BAY.
SMALL CHANCE 07 REVIVAL. RUGBY UNION'S OPINION. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") | NAPIER, this day. A recent report from Auckland that there is a possibility of the League being revived in Hawke's Bay, was denied at a meeting of the Hawke's Bay Rugby Union last night. It was acknowledged that there is a movement afoot to revive the rival code, but the opinion was expressed by numbers that the chances of;its success are remote. Mr. J. W. Norrie, chairman of the committee,"said that certainly no member of the Rugby Union had anything to do with the matter, for whatever their differences with the New Zealand Union or anyone else,, those differences were not going to lead them to forsake Rugby. All had too much love for the good old game.
