advisory board was farmed, counting xS the Postmaster-General, two npnKßtttires of ihe Port and Tdegnpk Department, a member of the Brotdcaiting Syndicate, and a representative of the. listeners, who at that time cumbered only one-tenth of the present total, and when a referendum was approximately only one-third voted for the chosen representative, who would. therefore, hold office to-day on a proportion of one-thirtieth of the existing licensed listeners. "Mr. Howard also suggests," concluded Mr. Harris, "that listeners are not getting that to which they are entitled. In what respect are listeners not getting what they are entitled to? The Broadcasting Company is extending itself to the fullest to give service on the best possible basis, and is utilising to the maximum entertaining resources of the country, and -will progressively continue to do so as circumstances improve."
