Recognising the possibilities of such a wonderful environment, with Its sunbethed facade and hygienic arrangements, the well known Qoeen Street beauty culturist and hairdresser, Mr. Jackson, decided to have his business home in the new building, and, as win be seen, his "Sunshine Beanty Shoppe* a model salon in every sense of the **"■ The salon itself occupies most of the first floor of the building, and is ntfTfd through a spacious, well-appointed reception room. The general colour scheme of the salon is blue and gold, the theme having been carried out in <«gi»uu«i yet marvellously effective fashion. The furnishings are indeed luxurious, the carpeta having been specially imported, whilst the suite is known as the "Aorangi suite," being similar to those on that luxurious vessel. No refinement has been lost sight of, and the whole ensemble is attractive in the extreme.
Radiating from the central reception hall are passages leading to the twentytwo booths. Each of these booths is fitted up with every modern np-to-the minute appointment, indnding a magnificent hot water service to esch. Scrupulous attention has been devoted to the question of hygiene, and in this respect, as showing the meticulous regard for detail, we may mention that even the doors are of the latest and most sanitary pattern. i Jackson's Beauty Shoppe will open on | Monday, in order to commemorate the auspicious event, the firm has announced its intention of giving free two permanent waves (full heads). AH visitors to the salon during the first two weeks will be able to participate. Full particulars may be obtained from the receptionist. Whilst, naturally, handressing in all its manv branches takes pride of place in the activities of the salon, it is as *al to note that every form of beauty culture receives attention. Experts are constantly in attendance, and a giant* at a few of the services rendered is well worth while. Every form of haircutting is given, whilst in addition to the Eugene (British) permanent waving, clients have also the option of the latest American method, utilising the Leaew permanent waving outfit. Of coarse, water, finger, marcel or elect! it waving can also be arranged for. Hair treatments such as hoi oil, violet ray or scalp massage are given if required.
