In between :-©bs. as she stood in front of Mr. F. K- Hunt, S-M-, at the Police Court this ietiming. Lena FarrelL a married woman, admitted that she had procured liquor while prohibited. "Is this her first breach!" asked ths magistrate. The police said that it was her second breach of the order. "Yes, and I have gnt another summons to appear nest Friday, too," said the woman, still sobbing bitterly. ""What for, the same thing!" queried Mr. Hunt. "Yes. <=ir. I was found in a hotel, but i only went into the cloak-room." "There are plenty of other cloak-rroms without going into an hotel," &aid Mr. Hunt. Senior Sergeant Edwards said that when a sergeant found Mrs. Farrell in the hotel she was under the influence of liquor and had half a bottle of whisky with her. She had been prohibited in December last. Mr. Hunt: Are you married? —Yes, sir, I have one child. "Where's your husband?—He is working. "Tou deserve to go to gaol for three months, that's what you want." said the magistrate. "You are fined £o, or one month's imprisonment, and if your husband is a wise man he will let you take it out." "She is not the saint she makes out she is," said the senior sergeant. "No. I can see that by her list," replied the SAL
