"DEPRESSION PASSING."
WOOI. PRICES STABXE. COMPANY CHAIRMAN' HOPEFUL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Thursday.
"Wo look forward to the new year with confidence as the wave of depression shows undoubted signs of passing, and prospects seem bright," said Mr. W. H. P. Barber in his address at the annual meeting of the Wellington Woollen Co. "There is every reason to believe that wool will retain its present value. A definite upward tendency in textiles is reported from Great Britain, and the maintenance of wool prices on a high level is likely to cause a general revision of selling prices, which ara too low both in England and in this Domin- ' ion."
