The Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Auckland, and the Auckland City Council, having obtained the necessary Statutory consent of the Local Government ! Loans Board, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE ' in I pursuance of Seccion 1U of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 192« : (1) That the Auckland Citv Council proposes to engage in the following undertaking. namely. Tramways and Transport Development by extending and duplicating the ' existing Tram Tracks, the erection of! Omnibus Depots, including Garages, the acquisition of the necessary land therefor and the provi?ion of new Tram Cars. j (2) That the Auckland Citv Council being unable to provide the funds for sucli works out of its ordinary revenue, proposes ' to raise a Special Loan of not exceeding | £500.000, to be known as the Tramways and I Transport Development Loan. 1027. ! (3) That the said Loan wiil be repay- j able at the end of thirty year?, with provision for a Sinking Fund of lj per cent per annum. C 4) That the proposed security for the said Loan shall l»e a Special Rate of 4>d in the £ on the annual ratable value of all ratable property in the City of Auckland. (5) That the Auckland City Council proposes to pay out of the Loan the costs, charges, and expenses of and in connection with the raising thereof, but not the interest or sinking fund thereon for the first year.
