THE PONSONBY CLUB,

The Poneonby Flying Club commenced Hβ 1927 old bird series on Saturday from Te Awamutu, an airline distance of 86 miles, The blrde were liberated by the stationmaster at 11 a.m., the winning bird, the property of Mr. Joe Davies, doing the Journey In 2h 25m, registering a velocity of 1049 per minute, 74 birds taking part in the race.
