A So r revolution hroke out in \ lenna and lasted over the week-end. reused by Socialist extremists, incensed at the acquittal of ant;-Socialists for murder. The capital has witnessed rioting characterised by much bloodshed and terror. Stories by eye-witnesses give details of gruesome brutality by the extremists. The outbreak has resulted in the loss of 70 lives, while 500 are reported to be wounded and m hospitals. The Socialists are reported to have endeavoured to force the Prime Minister to resign, and to form a coalition Government, which he has refused to do. A message states that Mussolini has sent an ultimatum demanding that Italian trains be allowed to pass through Austria under threat of force.
