WAIKATO NOTES.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin, of Hastings, have been on a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. G. W. Brandon, of Wellington, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs. G. Crimp, of Hamilton, is visiting New Plymouth. Miss E. Simmons has returned home from a visit to Wanganui. Mrs. Wells, of Cambridge, is staying in Wellington. Mrs. R. Matthews, of Claudelands, is staying with relatives in New Plymouth. Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Hampson, of Rotorua, have been staving in Hamilton. Mrs. Temple, of New Plymouth, was in Hamilton during the week. Mrs. R. Hannon. of Cambridge, is away on a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Pullinger, of Gisborne, is staying in Hamilton with Mrs. G. W. Hyde. Mr. and Mrs. Joynt, of Nelson, have been staying with Mrs. J. Cox, Cambridge. Mrs. W. Thomson has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Wellington. The Misses Pigott, of Palmerston North, are staying in Cambridge. Miss G. Roche, of Hamilton East, is away on a visit to Opotiki. Mrs. W. Stafford, of Cambridge, is the guest of Mrs. MortimerJones, Hastings. Miss L. Barton has left Hamilton to take up teaching at the Hutt. Mrs. Allan, of Cambridge, is staying in Rotorua.
A most enjoyable dance was held in the assembly hall at "Sonning" School on Friday. The dance was attended by a number of former pupils, and Mrs. Froude hostess. Others present were: Mesdames D. The members of the Claudelands ladies' guild held an enjoyable "at home in th® hall on Thursdav, which was arranged like a drawing room, and looked very attractive. Those present were: Mesdames H. A dance was held in the Ohaupo Hall on Wednesday night. The ballroom was decorated with wattle and coloured paper streamers. Those present were: Mesdames Gillet. Bland. Kellv, A. Dingle, Graham, West, Misses Hvland, E. Jackson, S. Tapp, M. Osmond, Fraser! E. Jary, Bell, R, Garrett, I. Meek, Catchpole, Karl, Horneman, D. Jary, Stubbing, V. Bell, Titmarsh, Ennion, Kemp, Cotton M. Dick, and R. Tapp.
A coming-of-ag© party was held at the home of Mr. and "Mrs. S. Watt, Claudelands, on Saturday, in honour of Miss E. Keeley. The guests were: Mesdames Snell, Keeley, Green, Morris. Norton, Keep, Delanev. Forker, Misses J. Watt, S. Collier, M.'Bourke, M. Whitton. M. Norton, B. Sharp, D. Snell, A. Stillbum. E. Snell, F. Carey. M. Stillburn. C. Keeley, E. Fussett, D.
