CAR AND LORRY COLLIDE.

ONE MAN SLIGHTLY INJURED. (By Telegraph. Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this day. A collision occurred on the MatataWhakatane road after a football match on Saturday, between a car driven by a resident of Thornton, who had with him his two sons, and a lorry driven by Mr. Mercer, of Manawahae. The car was knocked off the road and its radiator, axle, wheels and mudguard were damaged. The lorry has a broken spring, a burst tyre and a damaged splashboard and mudguard.

The driver of the car received cuts and bruises on his face. No one else was njured.
