EGGS 2/2 PER DOZEN. OYSTERS 2/6 PER BOTTLE. Supplies of both lieu and duck eggs jre now coming in freely, and both lines are selling at 2/2 per dozen on the average, though some places still have fresh hen eggs marked at 2/6 per dozen. Butter and Cheese. Prices ..for butter show no change since Friday. Superfine, factory. 1/S per Id, cash across the counter; first grade, 1/7, and second grade, 1/6. Farmer's butter, 1/3 to 1/5 per Ib. Cheese is selling retail at 1/2 to 1/4 per Ib, and 1/6 for extra matured makes. Bacon and Hams. Quotations for bacon and hams are as follow: —Bacon, 9*d to 1/5 per Ib for cats, and 1/4 to 1/5 for rashers. Whole hams are otfereii retail at 1/3 to 1/4 per Ib, and for rashers 1/8 to 1/9 per Ib is still asked. Meat. There is no change in the retail prices or meat since last report. Quotations are: —■ Beef: Sirloin. Sd per Ib, rib, 6d; rolled • beef, 4d; steak, sd; and rump steak, 1/ per fb. Veal: Fillets, 10d per Ib; cutlets, lid. Lamb: Leg, 1/2 per Ib; hindquarter, IV; loin. 10d; forequarter. 7d; and. chops, I/per Ib. Mutton: Leg. Sd per Ib: loin, 9d; ehoulder. 6d; and chops, 1/ per Ib. Sausages: Pork, Sd per Ib; beef, 6d per Ib. Cooked Meat: Corned beef, 1/3 per Ib; pressed beef, 1/2; roast mutton, 1/6; pressed tongue, 2/2; and roast pork, 2/3 to 2/6 per Ib. Fish. Oysters are now selling at 2/6 per bottle, with good steady demand. Crayx fish are easier in price, selling from 6d to 8d per Ib, according to size. Other quotations are: — Smoked: Blue cod, 1/6 per Ib; schnapper, lid per Ib; terakihi, 8d per Ib; trevalli, 4d per Ib; mullet, 9d per Ib; fcarraeouta. 6d per Ib; strips, 9d per Ib; kippered fillets, 1/ per Ib. Fresh: Canadian salmon. 1/6 per Ib; echnapper, 6d per lb>; terakihi, 44d per Ib; hapuka, 1/ per Ib; kingfish and moki, 9d per Ib; skate, 6d per Ib; mournou, tid per Ib; butterfish, 6d per Ib; frost fish, 9d per Ib; gurnard, four to six for 1/; garfish, 6d per dozen; flounder, 4d to 10d eaeh.
