The defence in the action for £200 damage for alleged fradulent misrepresentation, brought by Jiirnest Hawley (Mr. Inder) against Myra Brown (Mr. J. B. Johnston) was concluded in the Magistrate's Court before Mr. XL C Cutten, SJkL, yesterday afternoon. .Defendant and her husband maintained under severe cross-examination by Mr. Cutten and Mr. Inder that the entries in the takings book were made nightly after the shop wa& closed, and that they were both present on every occasion.
