Harry (eagerly): Her little* lamb, of course. UNHAPPY MAN. Mrs. Twiggg (after 10 minute?' r.,m creation) : Well, I must be gettin' along to the plumber's, Mrs. Brown, 'cos mv 'usband's at 'ome with 'is thumb on a burst pipe waitin* till 'e comes! TO-MORROW. The absent-minded professor had just retired to his study after dinner, and waa writing busily when the door burst open and in rushed his youngest daughter. "Hello, daddy," she cried. "I've coma to say good-night." "Oh, yes," murmured the professor absently, "suppose you wait until to-morrow morning, my dear; I'm so busy now." HOW DID THEY GET THESE? An Irishman and an Englishman were waiting for a train, and the Irishman said: "I will ask yon a question and if I cannot answer my own question I will buy the tickets. Then yon ask a question and if yon cannot answer your own you buy the tickets." The Englishman agreed to this. "Wen," the Irishman said, "you sea those rabbit-holes? How do they dig those holes without leaving any dirt round them?" The Englishman confessed, "I don't know. That's your question so answer it yourself." The Irishman winked and replied, "They begin at the bottom and dig up." "But," said the Englishman, "how do they get to the bottom to begin?" "That's your question," was Pat*■ rejoinder. "Answer it yourself."
