WHAKATANE.
The annual meeting of the Bangltaiki A. and P. Association was held on Monday* The president (Mr. E. Law) read a communication from the president of tha Wbakatane A. and P. .association, who stated that his committee were prepared to meet the Bangitaiki Society's represents.tives to discuss a mala pa mat lon. Mr. Beattie thought the society should make the first more. It was resolved that tho Rangitaikt Society's snb-eommittec approach, the Wbakatane Association on the question, of amalgamation, and that Messrs. Hall, Kirk, and Beattie be added to the subcommittee. Officers for the ensuing yea* were elected as follow:—President, Mr. E. £? w t re-elected) ; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. T. King and W. Murray; committee, Messrs. N. Larsen. Johnston, Cheekier. G. Murray. J. Beattie, T. Kirk, and E. Hall; secretary and treasurer. Mr. G. H. Checkley ; auditor, Mr. J. M. Eccles.
