FIRE AT TOKOMARU BAY.
BUSINESS BLOCK DESTROYED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. A lire at Tokomaru Bay this morning destroyed the business block owned by tlio Tokomaru Trading Company and occupied by professional and business firms. One family escaped in their night clothes. Practically nothing was saved. The tenants affected are: Mr. Nugent, solicitor; Mr. Todd, solicitor; Mr. Bennett Taylor, chemist; Mr. McCulloch, tailor; Mr. Morrall, dentist; Mr. Chaffev. carrier; Mr. Moody, restaurant owner. The insurances are not available.
